Ally grew up outside Minneapolis. She now lives in Chicago, having graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in Comparative Human Development, English and Creative Writing, and Spanish with Global Honors in June.
She began writing in college for UChicago's student-run food magazine, Bite, where she served as a writer, creative director, and editor-in-chief. She also wrote for the culture/fashion blog, MODA Digital.
Her one true love is food: making it, eating it, writing about it. She plans to attend Ballymaloe Cookery School January 2025. In the mean time, she will be writing for Substack and baking at Bad Butter in Chicago.
